An all inclusive Komodo boat trip on Vhale is a written list, not a mood: transfers, meals, snacks, water, tea, coffee and snorkel gear sit inside the fare. The whole boat for 3D2N is IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080) for up to 28 guests, and a single seat starts at IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273).
Inclusive is a list, so here is the list, with the whole-boat fare beside it
Most Komodo pages use the words all inclusive the way a hotel uses sea view, as a mood to be felt rather than a fact to be checked, and on Vhale we would sooner do the sums in front of you. The left-hand column first. A car brings you from hotel or airport to the quay and takes you back at the end; every meal on board is paid for, and so are the snacks, the snorkel gear, and the water, tea, coffee, milk and juice that keep coming without anyone keeping count. The right-hand column, what sits outside the fare, is shorter and just as firm: the park package, flights, hotels either side, alcoholic drinks and tips.
Beside that list sits one number. The whole boat for three days and two nights comes to IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080), a single sum for a party of anything from one to 28, with no smaller tier and no charge for an extra head. Rent a berth instead of a boat and the seats begin at IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273) a person. The private charter page writes the same ledger out line by line, so this one can afford to be brief.
| Guests | per boat | per person |
|---|---|---|
| 1–28 | IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080) | IDR 5,290,000 |
Twelve doors, five kinds of room, and an afternoon with no agenda
Twelve cabins sounds like a hotel corridor until you learn that they come in five kinds, and that the kind decides both the bed and the bill. Atlantic has two, high on the upper deck, each holding a queen bed, an extra bed if you ask, a balcony of its own and a private bathroom, for two to four guests. Azure has two beside them, also with a queen bed and the option of an extra one, for two or three. Oceanic and Pacific sit on the main deck, and Coral takes the lower deck with four bunk rooms, each holding one double and one single for three.
Standard beds add up to 28 guests: eight queen cabins of two, plus four Coral cabins of three. Which bathroom an Azure or Coral cabin has is a question we answer in writing before you pay, because we would rather say so than guess. Beyond the doors the boat is generous in a quieter way, with a day bed in the outdoor chill area that somebody will have claimed by two o'clock, two paddle boards for the cousins to argue over, and a sundeck where no one has an assigned place.
The table below counts the beds kind by kind; the cabins page shows each room in photographs.
One berth, boarded at the quay on a scheduled departure day
Not everyone wants a boat to themselves, and not everyone has twenty relatives. The same three days are sold by the cabin on Monday & Friday, so a couple or a lone traveller can board and share the table with other guests. Seats start at IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273) for a Coral sharing berth and reach IDR 8,950,000 (≈ USD 549) for an Atlantic cabin with the balcony.
Here the guide and the group's photographs and film come inside the seat; a private charter leaves both on request. There are 16 sailings listed ahead of you, the next on Friday, 6 November 2026, with dates per 4 November 2026. A listed date is not a held date: we confirm the cabin live on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
| Cabins | Deck | per person |
|---|---|---|
| Atlantic | Upper deck | IDR 8,950,000 (≈ USD 549) |
| Azure | Upper deck | IDR 5,200,000 (≈ USD 319) |
| Oceanic | Main deck | IDR 7,450,000 (≈ USD 457) |
| Pacific | Main deck | IDR 6,200,000 (≈ USD 380) |

The parties that fill twelve cabins
A boat with twelve cabins and nine crew finds its natural customer in a party that already knows how to argue about lunch, which in practice means three generations of one family or an office that has outgrown the minibus. Both do the same sum: one fare, divided by whoever sits down.
At twenty guests the 3D2N fare comes to IDR 7,400,000 (≈ USD 454) a head, at twenty-four to IDR 6,170,000 (≈ USD 379), and at twenty-eight to IDR 5,290,000 (≈ USD 325). A party of eight or twelve pays the same whole-boat fare as a full table, and for them a seat is the kinder sum. The occasions below show how each kind of party uses the same boat differently.
Nine stops, each with the hour it suits
The grid below lists nine stops. Of those, the three-day route reaches seven: Kelor and Kalong, Padar and Pink Beach, the two snorkel stops of Taka Makassar and Manta Point, and Siaba or Sebayur at the end. The sample four-day route adds Kanawa. The dragons are met on Rinca, which is a separate walk with the rangers.
Padar belongs to sunrise, and in October the sun clears its ridge at 05:39; Kalong is a dusk island, with sunset at 17:55 that month, while Pink Beach and the snorkel stops ask for nothing more than daylight and a calm patch of sea. The order is a proposal, and the captain has the last word.
- Up the ridge before the sun does
- The beach after the ridge
- Rinca is the dragon stop on this boat
- The drift over the reef, and who decides
- A sandbar the tide gives and takes back
- Where the day ends, and the bats begin
- The first climb of the voyage
- The last swim before the harbour
- A white beach on the way home
Does a boat built for a big table suit your party
A fit check saves both sides an awkward letter later. The list below says who the boat does not suit. Vhale suits a party of twenty to twenty-eight that wants one boat and one written fare, and it suits a traveller content with one cabin on the Monday or Friday trip; either way the exceptions sit beside the inclusions.

Who this boat suits
- A family reunion, a company table or a circle of friends of 20 to 28 who want one boat and one fare for the whole party
- A party that wants the fare written out line by line, with what sits outside it written beside it
- Two to four travellers who would rather take one cabin on the Monday or Friday 3D2N open trip
Who it does not suit
- Parties of more than 28 on standard beds
- Guests who need a private bathroom confirmed for every cabin before booking: ask us about Azure and Coral
- Scuba trips: the facilities cover snorkelling gear, not dive equipment
- Guests who want a private balcony in a cabin other than the two Atlantic ones, since no other cabin has one
- Couples who want privacy in a Coral room, which is a bunk room with one double and one single bed

Guests of Komodo Explorer voyages
“Freedivers, listen up: the visibility was absolutely insane — 30+ metres on good days. Taka Makassar was my favourite, white sand bottom at 15 m that looks like a desert paradise underwater.”
“Very good boat, good experience, and fulfilled my dream to see a Komodo dragon.”
“They made our 2nd anniversary absolutely perfect. We got to stand just metres away from an actual Komodo dragon — the ranger was right there. The crew even played our song while we watched the sun go down.”

FAQ
Is Vhale a small, quiet boat, or built for a crowd?
Vhale has 12 cabins and 9 crew, and it takes up to 28 guests on standard beds. She is built for a big table, not a quiet week for two. A couple can take one cabin on the Monday or Friday trip, but the boat itself is happiest with a full party aboard.
What separates a private charter from an open-trip seat?
Charter Vhale and the boat is your party's alone at one fare, with a guide and a photographer quoted only if you ask for them. A seat means one cabin, a Monday or Friday departure and other guests at the table, and the guide and the documentation come inside the seat.
What does one person pay, all in?
Per person it depends on how you board. A seat on the 3D2N open trip starts at IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273). On a private charter the whole-boat fare is IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080), which comes to IDR 6,170,000 (≈ USD 379) a head at twenty-four guests. The park package, flights, hotels, alcoholic drinks and tips sit outside both.
What is left out of the all inclusive fare?
No fare of ours covers the park package for your trip type, the flights to Labuan Bajo and home again, the hotels either side, alcoholic drinks, or tips for the crew and the guide. A private charter adds one more line, the guide and the group's photographs and film, which we quote apart on request.
