Vhale Phinisi
The park fee sits outside every fare, and here is the sum
Updated 4 November 2026
Park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. Is the Komodo National Park fee inside an all inclusive boat price? On Vhale it is not: the park package sits outside a fare of IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080) and outside a seat from IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273), and we quote it by trip type. The park itself charges a visitor from abroad IDR 250,000 a day.
The park package, outside every fare
The park package sits outside every fare on Vhale, for the simple reason that the park charges it and the boat does not. The fare buys the boat and Vhale's crew, the meals and the car to and from the quay. The park package pays for entry, the rangers and the local levies on your route, and it is quoted by trip type, so that a day trip and a four-day voyage are each priced for what they use.
We quote no other boat's park figures. The table below gives the package for the 3D2N and the 4D3N; for the one-day and the 2D1N trips the package is worked out for your date and sent in writing, and the amount for your party is on your quote before you pay. It is the line that surprises anyone who reads all inclusive as a promise of everything, which is why it comes first.
| Trip | Foreign guest | Indonesian guest |
|---|---|---|
| 3D2N | IDR 650,000 | IDR 350,000 |
| 4D3N | IDR 750,000 | IDR 350,000 |
One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest, separately for each trip type, and paid on top of the boat price. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.
| International visitors | IDR 250,000 per person per day |
| Indonesian visitors | IDR 50,000 per person per day · IDR 75,000 weekends & holidays |

Working out the park package for your party
The calculator below multiplies guests by days, and all that remains is reading it the right way round. Find the row for the size of your party, find the column for the number of days on the water, and the cell is the package for that trip. A larger party sits in a lower row and pays more in total, as it should.
A trip with two nights covers more park days than a day trip, and the table shows it. We do the sum for you in writing, and the figure on your quote is the one that counts.
| Guests | Days | International | Indonesian | Indonesian · weekends & holidays |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 100,000 | IDR 150,000 |
| 2 | 2 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 2 | 3 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 300,000 | IDR 450,000 |
| 4 | 1 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 200,000 | IDR 300,000 |
| 4 | 2 | IDR 2,000,000 | IDR 400,000 | IDR 600,000 |
| 4 | 3 | IDR 3,000,000 | IDR 600,000 | IDR 900,000 |
| 10 | 1 | IDR 2,500,000 | IDR 500,000 | IDR 750,000 |
| 10 | 2 | IDR 5,000,000 | IDR 1,000,000 | IDR 1,500,000 |
| 10 | 3 | IDR 7,500,000 | IDR 1,500,000 | IDR 2,250,000 |
The calculator shows the government entrance ticket alone. The park package already includes it, together with the ranger fee and local levies. Verified 10 October 2026.
Cash, card or in advance
Park tickets are issued online in each visitor's name, with passport details, and we book them for you. For a foreign visitor the park's own ticket is IDR 250,000 a day. Indonesian visitors pay IDR 50,000 on a weekday; a Saturday or Sunday ticket is IDR 75,000. These are the park's own figures, for scale; the park package for this trip type is quoted in writing, and the package is what we quote.
How your share is collected is stated on your quote: either added to the invoice and paid in advance, or paid in rupiah at the harbour. Bring some cash in rupiah either way, since not every card works there, and if you are unsure how much, ask us for the sum. Pay what the quote says, and ask for a receipt.
Closure notices, and the date on this answer
This answer is per 4 November 2026. People ask whether a closure of an island would touch their trip, and the answer starts with the route: every itinerary walks the dragons at Rinca, so a notice about another island does not alter a day. Around Rinca sit Kelor and Kalong, the ridge at Padar, the pink sand, the two reefs and a final swim off Siaba or Sebayur.
A closure notice for any stop is the park's to make, and we read the park's announcement again before each quote. If a stop is closed on your dates, we propose another in its place, and the fare does not change. If the park says a stop is shut, we will not tell you otherwise.
