Vhale Phinisi
One day on the water, then home to your own bed
Updated 4 November 2026
A Komodo one day boat trip on Vhale, all inclusive and private, costs IDR 93,300,000 (≈ USD 5,724) for the whole boat, which is IDR 4,660,000 (≈ USD 286) a head at twenty guests. The route is a sample, since the one-day fare comes without a fixed itinerary. The captain fixes the order at the quay.
A day for Rinca, Padar and a beach, without a night aboard
A day trip is the shortest sentence the boat can say, and like any good short sentence it still needs a verb. You are collected from your hotel or from the airport, you sail to Kelor, you walk at Rinca, you lunch on board, and you watch the sun go down at Kalong before the boat brings you back to Labuan Bajo the same day. That is the sample we propose, with no night aboard.
A day also forces a choice that the longer routes spare you. Parties ask for Rinca, for Padar or for a beach, and a single day has the hours for one of them with lunch and a swim, not for all. The captain settles which, and we pass that advice on before you commit.
Day 1
| What happens | Have ready | |
|---|---|---|
| Labuan Bajo — Pickup from your hotel or the airport; the time is set with your charter date and flights | passport or ID | |
| Sail to Kelor Island | shoes with grip, water | |
| Walk at Rinca Island | closed shoes, hat and water | |
| Lunch on board | ||
| Sunset at Kalong Island | a light layer | |
| Back in Labuan Bajo the same day, then to your hotel or the airport |
Times are operating patterns, not a timetable. Pickup is the only promise we make by the clock.
An illustrative route; the captain fixes the order at the quay
The rate list sets a fare for one day and no fixed route for it. Read the stops above as a sketch, since the real order is settled with the captain at the quay that morning, with the wind and the tide having their say.
We say so openly, because a sample dressed up as a schedule is the oldest trick on any waterfront. If a stop matters to you, Rinca for the dragons or Padar for the ridge, tell us when you book and we ask the captain whether the day can hold it. The answer comes back in writing.
Whom one day flatters, and whom it rushes
One day flatters a party that already has beds waiting: a family with a hotel in town, colleagues between meetings, friends who came for the weekend and meet the boat for an afternoon. It rushes anyone who hoped to see Padar at sunrise, because Padar at sunrise belongs to a morning after a night aboard.
It suits, too, anyone wary of a night afloat, since the boat is back in Labuan Bajo within the day and your own mattress is waiting where you left it. For anything slower, the two-day route is the first fixed one, and the three-day route is the full one.
A day's sum, and the lines that belong inside it
The whole boat for one day costs IDR 93,300,000 (≈ USD 5,724), and the figure holds for a party of one to 28. The ledger, left column first, what the fare carries: the car between hotel or airport and the quay, the meals on board, the snacks, the water, tea, coffee, milk and juice that are poured without a tally, and the snorkel gear.
Right column, what sits outside it: the park package for the one-day trip, quoted in writing before you pay, flights, hotels, alcoholic drinks and tips, with a guide and a photographer quoted separately if you want them. A card link adds 3 percent.
| Guests | per boat | per person |
|---|---|---|
| 1–28 | IDR 93,300,000 (≈ USD 5,724) | IDR 3,330,000 |
Twenty or twenty-eight, divided for the day
Divided across a table of twenty, the day comes to IDR 4,660,000 (≈ USD 286) a head, and across twenty-eight to IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204). They are the fare shared out, and the only per-head figures we give, since the fare was written for a full table.
A party of ten pays the same whole-boat fare as a party of twenty-eight, and that is reason enough to look at the seats on the open trip before choosing the boat.
Pickup, flights and the clock
The day begins with a pickup from your hotel or from the airport, with the exact time set with your date and your flights, and ends back at the quay in Labuan Bajo the same day. The trip is private, so the time is yours to discuss, and we confirm it in writing.
If you fly the same evening, tell us the flight and we work back from it, leaving the margin a delayed boat would need. Nobody should plan to board the plane on the minute the boat docks.
FAQ
What does a day trip cost on a private boat?
The whole of Vhale for one day costs IDR 93,300,000 (≈ USD 5,724), whatever the size of the party up to 28. At twenty guests that is IDR 4,660,000 (≈ USD 286) a head. The park package, flights, hotels, alcoholic drinks and tips stay outside it.
Can I fly out on the evening of a one-day trip?
Yes, with margin. The boat is back in Labuan Bajo within the day, and the exact finish depends on the sea and the route. Send us your flight and we work back from it. We advise a flight well after the expected return.
When and where are we picked up?
We collect you at a hotel or at the airport in Labuan Bajo. For a one-day charter we fix the time around your date and your flights, and send it to you in writing. The driver's contact reaches you the day before.
