Why one fare covers twenty-eight or twenty
Most boats price by the head and then discount for numbers; Vhale does the reverse. The list gives one fare for the whole boat, written for a table of twenty to thirty, and a party pays that fare whether it is twenty-eight or one. There is no smaller tier and no charge for an extra guest.
So the price per person is a division, not a rate. The more people at the table, the smaller each share, until the beds run out at 28 guests on standard beds. We show the shares only for twenty, twenty-four and twenty-eight, because below twenty the fare was never meant to be divided, and the honest advice is to look at the seats.

Twenty, twenty-four, twenty-eight: the table
On the 3D2N route, the whole-boat fare of IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080) comes out as follows:
- Twenty guests: IDR 7,400,000 (≈ USD 454) each.
- Twenty-four guests: IDR 6,170,000 (≈ USD 379) each.
- Twenty-eight guests: IDR 5,290,000 (≈ USD 325) each.
These are the fare shared out and rounded, with nothing added for numbers. No share covers the park package, the flights, the hotels, alcoholic drinks or tips, and a chartering party that wants a guide or a photographer asks for a separate quote. A table with three rows and a long footnote.
The same fare at four days
Four days and three nights cost IDR 160,000,000 (≈ USD 9,816) for the whole boat. Divided, that is IDR 8,000,000 (≈ USD 491) a head at twenty, IDR 6,670,000 (≈ USD 409) at twenty-four and IDR 5,710,000 (≈ USD 350) at twenty-eight guests.
The fourth day costs more in total and little more per head: at twenty-eight guests, the four-day share sits only a little above the three-day share, for an extra day aboard. The route for four days is a sample, with the order of the stops agreed with the captain, and the ledger is the same as on every other route.
The same arithmetic for one night, two nights and three
The shorter routes follow the same rule. A day trip costs IDR 93,300,000 (≈ USD 5,724), which is IDR 4,660,000 (≈ USD 286) a head at twenty and IDR 3,330,000 (≈ USD 204) at twenty-eight. Two days and one night cost IDR 118,750,000 (≈ USD 7,285), or IDR 5,940,000 (≈ USD 364) at twenty and IDR 4,240,000 (≈ USD 260) at twenty-eight.
Three days and two nights, as above, cost IDR 148,000,000 (≈ USD 9,080). Read the fares from top to bottom: the fourth day adds less than any day before it, a quiet case for the longer route if the calendar allows. Each of these is one sum, divided by whoever sits down.
When a smaller party should book a cabin instead
Below twenty, the division stops being kind. A party of eight pays the same fare as twenty-eight, and each of the eight feels it. For such a party, a cabin on the Monday or Friday trip is the better sum: seats run from IDR 4,450,000 (≈ USD 273) to IDR 8,950,000 (≈ USD 549) a person, and the seat carries the guide and the documentation.
Between twenty and the limit of the beds, the boat starts to earn its keep, and the compare page runs the sum against each seat type. Above 28 the boat is full on standard beds, and extra beds are by request and confirmed in writing, so we talk before anything is promised. A cabin is the humbler choice, and for a small party the wiser one.
